Mark Kuyper President/CEO, ECPA mkuyper@ecpa.org 480-966-3998 September 1, 2014 -- PHOENIX, AZ -- The submission period for the 2015 Christian Book Award® program is officially open until September 30. Entries can be submitted in seven categories:
“Christian publishing has produced remarkable content in both nontraditional (non-bound print) forms and in the digital arena,” explained ECPA President & CEO Mark Kuyper. “The goal of the Christian Book Awards is to recognize excellence in all content our members produce – regardless the format – so opening the program up to these formats makes sense.” This is the first time in the history of the program that non-print formats have been extended to books. In 2007, entries were opened to non-print Bibles. In 2008, Thomas Nelson’s audio Bible, The Word of Promise™ New Testament, NKJV became the Christian Book of the Year™. In 2010, Zondervan’s interactive digital Glo Bible won the Christian Book Award® Bible of the Year. Since 1978, the Christian Book Award® program has recognized the highest quality in Christian titles and is among the oldest and most prestigious awards program in the religious publishing industry. Five finalists are selected in seven categories and one title is announced as the Christian Book of the Year™. Winners are announced at the ECPA Awards Banquet held each year in conjunction with the industry’s Executive Leadership Summit. More information, online submissions, and criteria for each category is available at http://www.ecpa.org/?page=cba_1_overview. | |
