Nostalgia - Although we automatically think of nostalgia magazines when we think of nostalgia articles, many different kinds of magazines use nostalgia. They generally deal with “looking back” at a period or event, with a comparison to the present. Keep in mind that all nostalgia is not based in your grandparent’s time. Every generation has memories of the “good old days.” My adult children talk nostalgically about when they were children and could go to a carnival or corner store by themselves. Examples: The Christmas I remember best; memories of a mother/father/aunt/uncle/ grandparent, etc. who made some impact on your life; a look at World War II shortages.
